Low Tech Vs High Tech

M16--more like a surgeon scapel; precision,longer firing range, light-weight and more ammunition, low firing power

Being made with precision, the gun jams up with the slightest contact with moisture, dust and sand; meaning it needs proper maintainence. It is meant to be a fully automatic rifle. Put these in the hands of a well-trained, it would mean the death of many. Armies around the globe are still using the M16 as the basic weopon.

Ak47--a baseball bat; heavy, able to wack-the-crap-out-of-your-foe when comes to hand-to-hand combat, lesser ammunition, very low precision, very high firing power (shooting through 6 inch of solid wood and breaking a brick)

The simplicity of the mechanism allows it to fire even after dragging the gun along sand trails. This is more towards a machine gun because it is skewed towards a semi-automatic. It is made with such simple construction that it does not need maintainence of any sort and it still work.

In the hands of the poor or resistance--this Ak47 is still a very important asset that could change the course many wars.

Both weopons have their pros and cons. It all depends on who's using it and where is it being utilized that would determine its victor over the other.
